Public paper-trading record

Deather Vector

Three automated trading engines. Every trade published, losses included.

Deather Vector trades on Alpaca paper accounts: simulated money at real market prices. Each evening after the close, the system's own trade records are published here unedited.

Day by day

Holdings

What the engines hold at the close.

Positions open after the last session, valued at that day's closing price.

Trade ledger

Every trade since the start.

Newest first. Prices are the actual paper fills. Profit and loss is before any taxes; paper accounts charge no commission.

The engines

Three styles, three separate accounts.

Each engine trades its own paper account with its own daily loss limit. No human picks the trades.

Scalper

Minutes to hours

Intraday trades in the day's strongest-moving stocks, with automated exits. Flat by the end of every session.

Quant

Monthly

A momentum portfolio of US stocks, rebalanced at the start of each month at the opening auction.

Longterm

Quarterly

Half an S&P 500 index fund, half 25 large companies ranked on quality and value. Rebalanced each quarter. First buys December 1, 2026.

How we report

The rules for this page.

  1. Everything is shown. Every trade from the first day, winners and losers. Nothing is removed or re-run. Test trades made before the record started are listed separately under the ledger.
  2. Straight from the system. Numbers come from the trading system's own fill records and the broker's reported account values, once a day after the close.
  3. Dated and public. Each daily update is a dated commit in a public repository, so earlier days can't be quietly edited.
  4. Paper, said plainly. These are paper accounts: simulated money at real market prices. Real-money results can differ, for example in fills on fast-moving stocks.
  5. Compared with the market. Results sit next to the S&P 500 (SPY) over the same period.
